Volume 7 Number 9   November 1992

Cyclists stage a bicycle die-in October 17 at Bank and Somerset Sts. to protest construction of Highway 416. Auto-Free Ottawa and the Green Party, cosponsors of the die-in, claim that the highway will destroy rural communities and add to environmental and traffic problems. They say the provincial subsidy for the highway would be better spent on improving freight and passenger rail and public transit service. Photo: Margaret Jensen.
