The East Timor Alert Network (ETAN) is looking for volunteers.
Since Prime Minister Chrétien's trip to Indonesia, the issue of Canada's military equipment sales to Indonesia has finally received the media coverage that it deserves. We feel we are at a turning point with the Canadian government, and we need more help to keep the pressure on.
We need volunteers to help with postering, telephoning, painting banners, childcare during meetings, and other tasks. You can commit any amount of time, from half an hour a week up. Hours can be arranged to suit your schedule.
Interested persons, please call the ETAN Hotline at 742-9141.
A general meeting of ETAN will be held Monday, April 22, 7 P.M., at the Glebe Community Centre, 690 Lyon St., in the upper meeting room.
