“Councillors Feed the Hungry”
In Support of The Ottawa Mission – Tuesday, February 13th, 2018
On Tuesday, February 13th Ottawa City Councillors will come together to participate in the eighth annual “Councillors Feed the Hungry” event at The Ottawa Mission. Organized by Keith Egli, Councillor for Ward 9 Knoxdale-Merivale, “Councillors Feed the Hungry” will include the presentation of a cheque on behalf of Ottawa City Councillors to the Ottawa Mission to cover the costs of the meal that they will be serving on Tuesday. Participating Councillors will also receive an orientation provided by Ottawa Mission staff, which includes an overview of its operations and the various programs and services offered.

What: “Councillors Feed the Hungry” in support of The Ottawa Mission will involve the participation of Ottawa City Councillors coming together to help sponsor and serve a lunch at The Ottawa Mission.

The Ottawa Mission was started in 1906 as a non-profit, faith based service to help the poor and hungry in Ottawa – it has come a long way since then in
order meet the changing needs of this population, and hopes to continue doing so with the support of the Ottawa community.
