Bike to Work Month Off to Great Start

The 10th year of Bike to Work Month is off to a great start, and it’s bigger than ever! This year, EnviroCentre is giving away over $10,000 worth of prizes, hosting events and workshops throughout the month. This campaign encourages and celebrates people cycling to work throughout the month of May.
Last year, there were over 4,000 participants and 250 workplace teams.

Participation is free, fun and simple!

  • Sign up as an individual or start/join a team
  • Log your commutes and be eligible to win one of the great individual and team prizes
  • Book a workshop – email for more information
  • Visit the BikeMobile at local events to get great cycling tips and resources
  • Follow Bike to Work Ottawa on Facebook, Twitter, andInstagram

Daily prize draws started on May 1, so be sure to start biking and logging your commutes! Log every day (you can add km biked on previous days, but not post date them, so you get more chances to win if you log every day vs adding them all up and logging at the end of the month)!

Bike to Work month has been supported by the City of Ottawa over the past ten years, and EnviroCentre wants to say a big thank you to the folks there for their support. Together, they have encouraged thousands of new cycle commuters through this campaign.

Join in the fun tomorrow, May 7th, from 7:00-9:00 at Bank & Laurier for the Bike to Work month breakfast! This free Bike-in-Breakfast! celebrates Bike to Work Month participants!

Come by for free breakfast and coffee from Eggspectations andBridgeheadlight tune-ups by Velofixmusic from Live 88.5, and a chance to win the bike pictured here! Special thanks to Kunstadt for donating this bike to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bike to Work Month! Stop by tomorrow for your chance to win!
